What headset do you use?
I'm on Xbox One and currently looking into a wireless gaming headset for around $200. I am starting to play crucible more and more and feel that a decent headset would help me notice enemies sooner.
I'm wondering what the more seasoned players use (besides Astro's, $200 is my limit).
Edit: Figured I would summarize what I am seeing the most.
AstroA40 (some sets can be bought for under $200)
Turtle Beach XO Seven
TB XO Four
Stock headset
HyperX Cloud II
TB XO One
Based on all of the feedback I am seeing, I think I will go with the XO Sevens to save some money and get the best of all aspects.

I just bought the Turtle Beach Stealth 500x headset. They are awesome and 100% wireless even with chat. They have 7.1 surround sound and I just got them on sale for 200 bucks. I use the Turtle Beach Px4 on my PS4. They are pretty good as well. Not 100% wireless though. I believe they are only 5.1 surround sound. I think they can be used on Xbox with a special adapter.

Astro A40s(still working after 3+ years) but recently started using my Samsung ear buds and apple earpods (connected to A40 mixamp) since you don't need a good headset or a headset at all to play this game.

5 RepliesBuy a mixamp pro from astro then buy a good pair of headphones, and a mod mic 4.0. Total my mixamp pro 130, then I got a pair of audiotechnica adt-700x for about 70 on amazon, then a mod mic from amazon for 30. 700 x are viewed by most pc gamers to have one of the best Soundstage and directional audio, the mod mic is a better quality than astro or turtle beach mics, And they are about half the weight of a40s or turtle beach and extremely comfortable. Seriously. Give it a go and read some reviews. A lot of people love these items. And with the mixamp pro, you even have an aux port to play music from your phone, or in my case from my pc.

I used to be a turtle beach guy now I'm rocking my a50s. The TB elites are nice. It's all preference . A lot of good reviews out there on them all too. Boredatwork has a lot of great reviews of many many headsets. Also as others have stated you can get a refurb set of Turtle beaches for deeply discounted prices .

Been using the turtle beach tangos ever since they released along with black ops 2. Great headset, work with everything, comfy, and look cool. Usually around $300 but you might get lucky.
