I'm on Xbox One and currently looking into a wireless gaming headset for around $200. I am starting to play crucible more and more and feel that a decent headset would help me notice enemies sooner.
I'm wondering what the more seasoned players use (besides Astro's, $200 is my limit).
Edit: Figured I would summarize what I am seeing the most.
AstroA40 (some sets can be bought for under $200)
Turtle Beach XO Seven
TB XO Four
Stock headset
HyperX Cloud II
TB XO One
Based on all of the feedback I am seeing, I think I will go with the XO Sevens to save some money and get the best of all aspects.

Have independent chat/game volumes that are right at the controller base where they plug in. I think they were about $150. I bought them with my Xone, in like March of the first year of it's release. They're only stereo, no dolby or anything, but man they are comfortable for long sessions, and they most def have great sound. I love em, not sure if you're looking for something with surround sound or not, but I recommend these for a good all around value. As they are about a year and a half old, they may be out paced by something else. Or perhaps they have come down in price, I dunno.

Standard Xbox one headset

Got turtle beach but use ear buds sometimes cuz the big ear muff and mic gets clunky sometimes. Easy to throw in an earbud after a random invite or if i feel like being lazy on the couch

I used the Xbox licensed one, but they broke rather quickly. The cable is horrible quality. It only works in my left ear, now.

I'm using Turtle Beach PX4 with my Xbox 1 and I've been impressed.

Edited by Aurora: 11/3/2015 4:18:07 PMKingston HyperX Cloud Core. They are about $100 and they have 7.1 surround sound. Also a detachable mic and its comfort fit. I've had them for about 4-5 months now and they are amazing!

Astro A40 TRs are the best headset I've ever owned. Have A50's too and these are just better in every way.

I have astro a50s but I like triton as well
-
Tritton 720+ I've had a couple pairs of turtle beach and can honestly say the Tritton's run laps around them on both construction quality, sound quality, and longevity. Turtle Beach just has an enormous advertising budget. I would recommend either Tritton or Astro. I have no personal experience with Astro, but all my friends that have them have never said a bad word about them. Pass on Turtle Beach.
