I originally bought Destiny last year as a pre-order, special edition on the PS3 which included the upcoming expansions. When the expansions came out, I was able to download, install and play them with no problems. Then, I purchased a PS4 and subsequently bought a PS4 version of Destiny on disk, since there was no option for a cross-play digital version. I had read that there was no playing between console versions so I was very much surprised that my characters, items, quests...everything...was available to play on the PS4. The only thing I couldn't do was play with friends on the PS3, but everything else was linked. I could still go back to the PS3 and play with friends if needed. The expansions were good between either version and everything worked. Then the Taken King came along. I preordered/purchased the digital download version for the PS4 with no problems...it installed and was playable at least for all of the solo areas and the storyline for me. The problems started when I went to play on the PS3 with a friend...at first it did not even show any of the Taken King on the PS3...then after some updates, it started showing the missions, maps, items, graphics...etc...but it still did not show that I had the Taken King on the PS3, so I could not enter missions with my friends. I thought I would give it some time to get fixed, but it seems that it is stuck. I clicked on the button in-game to go to the playstation store to see if I could even purchase the digital download version for the PS3, but it says 'There is nothing for you to purchase at this time'. Something is stuck in the system between the PS3 and the PS4 in my account. Is there any resolution to this problem? Even if I go onto the playstation store in a web browser, it says the Taken King is not available on the PS3 for me. In my opinion, if the two console versions are going to be treated as separate accounts, then they should truly be separate accounts...I should have three more character slots to play and the account should be completely separate. Or, if the account is going to be treated the same, as in one PSN account for Destiny, regardless of console version, then the expansions I've already purchased should be available on both consoles. I've already bought disk versions of the game for both consoles and have bought the expansion pack on the PS3 as well as the Taken King on the PS4. Edit: 26 November I noticed that my account quest list was reset about 2 weeks ago and it looked like I had not done any of the storyline missions or quests. When I re-completed them, I noticed that it now recognizes that I have the DLC and everything on either console...so now I can play on the PS3. Thanks Bungie!
