So I heard about this guy for the first time like two weeks ago, and I honestly cannot tell you why I like his music so much. I'm usually a big fan of lyricism in rap, but this cloudrap vapor wave "sad boys" movement is...interesting to say the least.
One thing I think that should be noted is that he is purposely off timing by a little and the drowned out auto-tune effect creating a "tippy" vibe seems to be purposed at making the lyrics as a part of the instrumentation, rather than strictly being a rap and a beat, it's more of an intertwined entity.
So I just want to gauge how you guys like/dislike this music. One thing that I think is undeniable is the amazing production by Yung Gud.

Seen a couple of their vids years ago, prod is fire, vocals are "meh". Good songs to listen to while mucked up
-
Future is still the greatest rapper of all time
-
Does it have anything to do with Carl Jung

Meh.... Not exactly top notch.... Probably would rate it better if If it wasn't a whole bunch of posing white boys.

Edited by navy seal: 11/1/2015 4:51:31 AMDefinitely not a fan. All of the auto-tune gave me a headache less than a minute into the song.

yung lean is horrible and i expected more from you

It's interesting. I can definitely see what he's trying to do here in regards to blending the music with the vocals, and I think it mostly works. Plus the track just plain sounds good. I could see myself listening to it again. Though I will say that his lyricism is beyond outdated. But it's not as noticeable with the way he's using it.
