In this future I doubt holidays even exist anymore. Yes what's going on now is obviously a play on Halloween, but it's not called Halloween in game. In game guardians are at a constant war, there aren't any kids running around so obviously ain't nobody -blam!-in, let alone have time to celebrate hollidays.

Read the Grimoire card for Festival of the Lost. It's celebrated by the people of the city, and Eva Lavante thought it would be good for the Guardians to celebrate it because they are normally pretty detached from the people of the city, and they have the same reason to celebrate it.

Yeah but how many people are honestly logging in and sitting in the tower for hours going this is just wonderful! What a celebration! Nope we out here killin shit because things need murderin and engrams need gatherin. Even in the quest line you have 2 or three things that are tower driven, everything else is kill this slay that.
