Please note that before yesterday I thought that Sunbreakers were perfectly fine in PvP. But I've realized that the ugly truth is that Hammer Of Sol is too powerful in 3v3 situations.
HOS is not too game-breaking in 6v6, as any competent team can focus fire on the Titan and kill him without too many casualties. But when there's only 3 people even able to fire at the Sunbreaker, and the Sunbreaker has 2 teammates probably right behind him to help, Hammer Of Sol is usually an instant win for a round.
While Bladedancers ran rampant in HoW, they could be easily countered by 2 people with Shotguns or Snipers, and they needed to be used in close range. Sunbreakers, on the other hand, can kill you at any range, and regain health when they do. This is why Golden Gun and Stormtrance are the most balanced PvP supers as of right now, because they have no health regeneration and other downsides, such as low movement speed for Stormcallers and no armor for Golden Gun.
[b][u]WHAT I PROPOSE TO DO[/u][/b]
I think that two changes need to be implemented to balance HoS.
1. Prevent sprinting and lower movement speed while HoS is active.
2. Make Hammer Projectiles do splash damage to the Sunbreaker.
These changes would easily balance Sunbreaker. Decreasing movement speed would allow someone to flee from the Sunbreaker if he or she had no backup. The self-inflicted splash damage would mean that the Sunbreaker could not just fling Hammers at the ground to kill someone in close-range. This would make the HoS Super more of a mobile sentry turret of sorts. The Titan would still be able to cause tons of destruction, but he would have to stay back from the fray, and if someone wanted to come in and Shotgun the Sunbreaker, the Sunbreaker would kill himself if he was damaged by the Shotgun and fired a close range Hammer, thus making the melee ability more viable.
TL/DR: Sunbreaker is too strong in 3v3 elimination. I have provided what I think are the best fixes to HoS above.

Here's some ways to beat them: -suppressor grenades -tether -black spindle (headshot will kill them even if they have max armor) -one sniper shot and one primary shot -more than one competent team mate -grenades stick and one primary shot -run away when you hear the super activate -use your own super to kill them Honestly just don't take them on 1 v 1 unless your at a distance and you will be good. That would make Sunbreakers a complete joke. It would just be "TROLLOLOLOLOLOL" as everyone runs away from the Titan while he just WALKS around like a dumbass. It's already kind of hard to get more than 1-2 kills in 3v3 because of people scattering even WITH sprinting.

The problem with sunbreaker is that it is a ranged super with healing capabilities. I propose two options to rebalance the game. Route 1 (best option): take out cauterize and add in a new perk, because a ranged super that can self heal is absolutely ridiculous. Route 2: give golden gun the ability to heal after every kill, and give nova bomb or storm caller a heal after every kill. If you make one sub class unkillable, make the others the same.

How about instead of another nerd they buff blade dancer,and sunsinger. In ToO as Sunbreaker cause my titan was higher level then my Hunter cause we ran the raid and need a bubble so I ran it with my titan. But so in ToO I were one shotted by golden gun by a player that was a couple lights level below me when I was in my super that I was running max armour and recovery because I was one shorted by golden gun and people keep claiming that it can tank a golden gun bullet which mine clearly felled to do twice. So golden gun clearly isn't inferior to sunbreakers due to its infinity range and very large hit box with really good targeting finding, while sunbreakers have a stupid tracking that doesn't work unless the hammer gets very close to the target which can clear just put the explosive pyre perk on which increases blast radius which a more chance to hit ,plus the range on the hammers are held to trajectory takes more skill to hit longer range targets then it does from golden gun, the only downside to golden gun is it low armour which fine cause it is supposed to be a long ranged class ,while sunbreaker is meant to be mid-range monster which titan have close range ,support class while warlocks have a close range class ,midrange ( average (cause of lance)) and another close range class while hunters being the most diversed has long range class ,short range ,and all around support class . With sunsingers and bladedancers falling in this weird spot where they are out ranged and have slower time to kills then any other classes while sunsinger have self fez with out that it is as point less as blade dancer so buff both of them

I am glad the lot of you aren't on any team in charge of game balance, those are the worst suggestions ever. Last time I checked, my nova bomb didn't do any damage to me when I dropped it at my feet. Movement speed reduction? Dude, one of the perks and armor perks grants increased agility and that doesn't even get far. You can't scream for nerfs if you don't know each perk and synergy perk, otherwise you're taking shots in the dark on what needs to be fixed. That's how we get neutered classes, people.

just like golden gun and blade dancers were instant wins before. and a focused nova bomb / fist of havoc on heavy spawn. even if you take cauterize and 3 hammers away, it would still win the match. thats how mobile supers work. pretty sure storm trance is able to win too. Prevent sprinting and lower movement speed while HoS is active.[/quote] i would agree to a bit slower movement speed but disable sprinting? that just means everyone walks away while youre desperatly trying to find someone. why not fix / disable the titan skating everyone seems to rant about? just lower the time and armor a bit so sunbreakers get oneshotted by the rare occassion of a golden gun or a sniper to the head that most people cant do anyways since they run shottys or just focus on 2 body shots.

Once again Someone with a negative kd talking about trials Trials wouldn't be fun for you even if they were "re-balanced" All that needs to happen, if anything, is to reduce the explosion size of the hammer so you have to be more accurate. The sunbreaker is nothing without its super, which is why it's so good

I think this is a better patch for sunbreakers ( I main a titan) -make cauterize only work with grenades and melee -reduce armor by 5% (golden gun and snipers will one shot) -reduce time by 3 seconds -slow movement speed by 5%

The rewards, well that's another topic but Sunbreakers are not the issue in 3v3. Its either your lack of skill, your teams, or your communications skills that's the issue. Very simple tip- have a diverse team(if your wanting to CYA). 1).A void hunter using tether ends a Sunbreakers special almost instantly. FunFact-it does the same for a warlock's revive. 2). A bubble Titans suppression grenade is one of the most over looked assets in PvP. It completely disables all super AND double jumps. 3). The Hulk Smash!! I'm always more concerned of a arc Titan than a solar one. This super is the "the buck stops here" of all supers. It's incredibly useful for trails and can end a solar Titans parade everytime. Take this tips as you will but please don't complain that something needs to be nerfed when in actuality your teams skill or practice needs a buff. Happy Halloween

Any super that can take out a team in one hammer is OP. Just saying. We heard the super pop, tried to scatter, one hammer was threw and we lost the round. Still won the game though. They weren't all that good.

It's really not a problem in 3v3. I mean you can literally just run away, you have the entire map almost to yourself. Or you can use a super that's quick at shutting down supers, like Striker, Novabomb or GG/Nightstalker. It's not hard to fire off two rounds of GG before a Sunbreaker notices you or has a chance to fight back. And Nightstalkers can just run around a corner, shoot a quick SS at the ground then continue running whilst the Sunbreaker turns the corner then gets caught in the SS. Sunbreakers really aren't the problem, you're play style is.

This is so full of shat... if anyone uses a super that has a duration in trials it is met with the same reaction. Run. You will never hear anyone ever F'in say, "let's swarm him! He just used golden gun." they get overridden by nova bombs, foh, and golden guns are a one shot kill to one. I'm a 315 sunbreaker.

I don't know what class or build you use, but as a Void Walker or a Sun Singer, they're easy to kill. And this is coming from someone who's dire at PvP. Any super that requires you to chase an opponent is ambush and punish bait. Just set them up and burst them down with a counter super like Nova, or with shotgun and melee attacks. At most, they'll get one Hammer off and take you with them. There's an answer for everything in this game.

Armor needs decreased. That's it. If anything else is done titans will become low tier again. 20% armor decrease so other supers and snipers can kill.

I agree something needs to be done. In trials if i have my HoS ready, 90% of the time its an insta round win.

How about you learn to counter instead of trying to turn a class into garbage. I'm not good at pvp. I've gotten mad from multiple things in pvp. But when I face a sunbreaker I treat it as any other super. I snipe them, shotgun them, super them, run from them or heavy them. All of these work 90% of the time.
