What are you on about? He never said anything bad about the game. He said he had no interest in it. And, let's make this clear, he doesn't have to play the game to know if he likes it.

He means that the Original Commenters weight or opinion on Halo is almost nonexistent because the guy doesn't have an interest to play it to begin with.

That's not what he said. Haha. Oh, god. Stick to our conversation.

Edited by GHOST 9o5: 11/2/2015 6:43:22 AMActually, it wasn't exactly what he said, but it's probably what he meant. His opinion on Halo means nothing more than "Never had any interest." That's really it. Why do you deny everything? Did your momma tell you to "always be right, even when wrong"? Edit; This is the exact case of "opinion is different on the forums " that I am talking about.

Edited by Is__Endless: 11/2/2015 7:07:47 AMYou're wrong. "Would it hold much weight besides it being his own taste towards this type of game? No." does not translate to "He means that the Original Commenters weight or opinion on Halo is almost nonexistent because the guy doesn't have an interest to play it to begin with." What he was saying was that his opinion of the game itself wouldn't hold any weight in a discussion about Halo. Which was not the point of EventHorizon's comment. He was simply saying that he doesn't have interest in Halo. He didn't state any opinions. He never said that he thought Halo was bad, good or anything of the like. However, instead of accepting that people may not care about Halo at all, Spookernaut busted out the good old "You play on PlayStation..." line. To which I responded with;
And that means what, exactly? That he can't possibly form an opinion about Halo?
I was merely asking what being a PlayStation player has to do with him liking/not liking Halo. To which he responded to me with;
Would it hold much weight besides it being his own taste towards this type of game? No.
Which literally holds no weight, as there are plenty of games in the Halo genre that are on PlayStation and he likely doesn't enjoy those either, or he simply isn't interested in games like Halo. But, you know... Halo fanboys don't care about that. They see the PSN icon beside a username and immediately assume that we have no idea what Halo is.

Edited by GHOST 9o5: 11/2/2015 7:18:01 AMYour point about the discussion of Halo is actually wrong. He wasn't specific, you dig too deep, that is your fault. You do not need to act like an English teacher here. Everyone on this forum likes to take it the short way In How they read and state things as it creates flow. Or they don't have time. I'll let you try to grab that concept. I'm actually right, if you referred to my previous edit.. And yes, he still has an opinion on Halo. He doesn't have any interest in it. That's his opinion. His opinion is that Halo isn't interesting to him. That's that. And don't bring up how others read into this, as it's irrelevant.

That's just silly. You have to look at his response to me in a linear fashion. Him saying "You play on PlayStation..." is him saying "How would you know? Halo is not on PlayStation." He's implying that PlayStation users in general have no idea what Halo is, or that they aren't allowed to have opinions on Halo. That's the point. It's not that EventHorizon stated he had no interest in Halo. His disinterest was automatically nullified due to his choice in console. That's what Spooky and I were discussing, not just that he may or may not like Halo, but that his opinion of the game would hold no weight solely based on the fact that he's a PlayStation gamer, and not an Xbox gamer (which is silly). A lot of PlayStation gamers have played Halo and not liked it and a lot of Xbox gamers have played Halo and not liked it. That's like me assuming that Xbox gamers who claim they are not interested in The Last of Us are only saying that because they're Xbox players, and not because they are genuinely not interested in survival horror/zombie/third person shooter/crafting/whatever else games. It's silly to automatically nullify somebody's point of view simply because they play a different console than you. That's why these console wars exist and that's why gaming communities are typically toxic.

Well, I don't care about any if that. I already knew that and I thought the same way when I read his response. Just remember what I said about "opinion."
