Every player who waited for xur "earned" it. Patience is a hard virtue and method of acquiring something. How was the last time you had to wait in traffic? Waited in line. Waited for the release of a new game. Waiting is tortuous and hard. So hard, you couldn't even do it yourself. You couldn't wait. You grinded for it or used 3oC for it. But either way, you weren't strong enough to wait. To be patient is much harder than grinding. At least grinding you're doing something, you [i]feel[/i] like you're making an attempt to obtain your goal. Just sitting and waiting is hard to force yourself to do. To be patient, not knowing if you'll have to wait months or a year. So, please. Every player who waits for xur most definitely "earned" it.

I earned mine from an engram that cost me around seven strange coins when everything was said and done. People who bought theirs from xur earned it for 17 strange coins from a random xur drop. Tell me again why you are so butthurt?

I was lucky enough to have it drop via RNG.. Don't use it much, IMO it is not the best.(not fully upgraded, still 290) Then again I can't put down Hung Jury. Is it really that good?
