Yeah I earned it from a random exotic engram that randomly dropped from a random ultra while using three of coins. True earning there ;)

Nothing in destiny is earned except for quest exotics or black spindle. A majority of it is RNG like how the guy who went 1 and 15 in pvp and got a legendary or a friend who joined a nightfall at the end and got an exotic. I remember I saw a guy join in a pvp match I was in a few months ago, he went like 3 and 6 and got a gjallahorn lol.

I earned my Zhalo by getting it from a 3oC I bought with strange coins. I also earned my Graviton Forfeit by buying it from Xur with strange coins. The only difference between the two is RNG and a lot of wasted strange coins using the 3oC.

So purchasing an item from xur using in game currency that you have to earn is not the earning the item? Is that what you are saying? Then in real life don't use the money you get to buy food from the store because you did not wait for it to randomly drop.

You really don't earn it because it is luck based you were lucky to get the engram that gave you the supercell and lucky that it was primary and lucky that out of the other primaries you are luck that it gave you the supercell the weapons you earn are like the chaperone and the black spindle those are weapons you earn you were just lucky that you got that random drop even if it was also from a nightfall you were still lucky
