You know if you take a deeper look into the foundation of the United States you can find that Muslims were one of the most influential groups.

How? When? Where? I don't remember Muslims influencing anything in early America...
-
It's there trust me bro. They won't tell you this in high school history or anything. I didn't know about it but during my history class in college went through it. Google Muslim influence in America and you'll see multiple examples.
-
That's because universities are run by bleeding heart liberal pinko commies....
-
You rednecks are so predictable it's not even funny anymore. I'm surprised this hadn't come up sooner
-
Yes. When I hear a history or liberal arts college class cited as proof of anything I know that there is a deep biased agenda behind most of it.

Muslims were some of the very first slave traders during Americas inception. They were one of the biggest perpetrators of forcibly collecting black Africans and shuttling them off a s slaves. They also pledged to kill Christians back then. Yep. Lots of influence, indeed.

Also here is a little something for you to read to erase the bigotry you have against Muslims. http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=2504110

No answer, huh? Shouldn't accuse a person of bigotry if you can't back it up, or at least admit when you're wrong....

Was busy so please wait as I will get to you in a few.

Re-read page 17 of that PDF, guy. It clearly substantiates what I have just said about the Muslim involvement in the slave trade. It also discusses the prevalent racism Arabs and Muslims held against black Africans. So are you saying your own source is bigotry???
-
I never said they weren't involved in this, hell even Africans were involved in early forms of slavery as slave holders. As far as racism every single race can be accused of it.
-
No you just took to calling me a bigot when I posted facts that didn't sit well with your tidy little world view... Goodbye. Let's just play Destiny.

Everyone is quick to attack Muslims but they influenced artistic expression, architecture and so on in the United States. On top of being slave owners there were some Muslims who were also slaves as well.
-
Much of the design influence though has little or nothing to do with Islam itself, but the Arabic culture and design, some of which predates Islam by hundreds if not thousands of years. Part of this influence stems of the invasion of destruction of the Byzantium Empire. The Christian capitol fell to Islam. The fact that Europe suffered several such invasions, it is not hard to imagine that much of old Europe would be influenced by the encroaching culture. These events though predate US history by nearly a thousand years, though. In short, specific words, architectural design, math, and such were in western culture before the US was formed. To say that Muslims directly impacted early US culture is a stretch of the imagination.

http://www.mpac.org/publications/policy-papers/muslims-and-the-making-of-america.php I'll leave this here for you to read as it is fairly interesting.

Yeah, that's from a totally unbiased source....
-
Any source can also be considered biased but Muslims did have something to do with the framework of the country but this is forgotten due to the fact that the media has made hating Muslims a popular little trend.

Oh yes. Can't tell you how many time a day I turn on the news and see antimuslim propaganda..... Oh yes I can: zero
