A game made in Christian country, by a company founded by Christians (maybe not hardcore one but still)...
If there is going to be any holidays added they will be of those from the country of origin the game was made its that simple

The United States of America is not a Christian country, no matter how much you want it to be. Even if the majority of Americans are Christian, that does not make it a "Christian country". See the "establishment clause" in the first amendment of the U.S. constitution. The United States is a secular country. And how do you know the company was "founded by Christians"? This game is set in a fictional fantasy world of space alien gods and monsters - if there are going to be any holidays added they will be from the fictional lore of the world that the game is set in - it's that simple.

I'll agree on a secular country, but when you analyze the Constitution and the founders they had the ideals of Christianity on the back-burner. Just because they designed this country to be a safe haven for all religions doesn't mean that those factors didn't influence them on how they constructed the model of the country (Constitution, Government, Morals, Judiciary system, etc.).
-
Once again. As much as you scream your constitution ect the rest of world sees you as a Christian country because your population and most widely practiced religion is Christianity.. Along with all those religious Christian nutters you have to
-
Never mind arguing whether or not America is a "Christian country". (because you're wrong) This is the real point:
This game is set in a fictional fantasy world of space alien gods and monsters - if there are going to be any holidays added they will be from the fictional lore of the world that the game is set in - it's that simple.
-
I'm not debating it is or isn't you two provided facts that say acouding to your founding father's it isn't that's great fully thank you for some learning BUT the world sees your nation as a Christian one wether or not it is

Edited by JaqenIsTheDoctor: 10/29/2015 7:03:30 PMA game made in a country with separation of church and state. This is not a Christian country. Under God was not added in until 1954 and if you read any of the Found Fathers statements on the matter they were vehemently opposed to the idea this was a Christian nation (you know since they all had broken from England for the freedom for anyone to practice whatever they wanted). “Of all the animosities which have existed among mankind, those which are caused by a difference of sentiments in religion appear to be the most inveterate and distressing, and ought to be deprecated. I was in hopes that the enlightened and liberal policy, which has marked the present age, would at least have reconciled Christians of every denomination so far that we should never again see the religious disputes carried to such a pitch as to endanger the peace of society.” ~Founding Father George Washington, letter to Edward Newenham, October 20, 1792 “The Government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion.” ~1797 Treaty of Tripoli signed by Founding Father John Adams “I am for freedom of religion and against all maneuvers to bring about a legal ascendancy of one sect over another.” ~Founding Father Thomas Jefferson, letter to Elbridge Gerry, January 26, 1799 “Christianity neither is, nor ever was a part of the common law.” ~Founding Father Thomas Jefferson, letter to Dr. Thomas Cooper, February 10, 1814, “And I have no doubt that every new example will succeed, as every past one has done, in shewing that religion & Govt will both exist in greater purity, the less they are mixed together.” ~Founding Father James Madison, letter to Edward Livingston, July 10, 1822 “When a religion is good, I conceive it will support itself; and when it does not support itself, and God does not take care to support it so that its professors are obligated to call for help of the civil power, it’s a sign, I apprehend, of its being a bad one.” ~Founding Father Benjamin Franklin, letter to Richard Price, October 9, 1780 “All national institutions of churches, whether Jewish, Christian, or Turkish, appear to me no other than human inventions, set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit." Thomas Paine” ― George Washington, Quotes on the Dangers of Religion “All national institutions of churches, whether Jewish, Christian, or Turkish, appear to me no other than human inventions, set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit." Thomas Paine” ― George Washington, Quotes on the Dangers of Religion

Thanks for the history lesson I didn't know that what with not being American. But let me just tell you pretty much the rest of the world views you as a Christian nation ;)

Edited by JaqenIsTheDoctor: 10/31/2015 8:39:59 PMThat's because we have a political party in this country that has aligned it's self with the Conservative right and will stop at nothing to make it so and has tried for the past 60 years to do so. Obviously a lot of it has worked since a lot of the world views us that way. Here is Barry Goldwater who was a leader of that party before they got in bed with them. “Mark my word, if and when these preachers get control of the [Republican] party, and they're sure trying to do so, it's going to be a terrible damn problem. Frankly, these people frighten me. Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can't and won't compromise. I know, I've tried to deal with them.” ― Barry M. Goldwater

Where are you from? Because Great Britain is much more of a "Christian country" than the U.S.
