This is bungie's bull shit way of slowing down people getting to max light level but what bungie has failed to see (since day one) is when they do shit like this it turns people off from wanting to raid. I've done normal every week since it came out on both my hunter and Titan and my Titan is only 304. I have only ever gotten the boots, the sniper (my 1000 yard stair was higher) and the heavy machine gun. Otherwise, shards and more shards or nothing. Not even shards. And that is completely frustrating when your entire raid team gets something (armor or shards) and you don't a thing. It's honestly turned me off from raiding in this game. And now if you don't do normal before hard you might not get any up graded gear from the bosses or chests, just shards. That, is some BS and who ever thought of that needs to be shit canned from the gaming community completely because they are an idiot.
I get the RNG system, I play a lot of Diablo 3 (and the first two) so RNG is nothing new to me but when you tweek the RNG to not drop gear or weapons just so you can make your players come back, you as a company have failed. I bought the taken King because I thought they were going to turn things around with all the changes they made but the major problem in the game has and always will be the RNG system they have and until that is fixed this game will die out long before their ten year plan comes close to being finished.
Sorry for the long post but I hope more people sign this and bump it because bungie needs to see they are losing players and fast!

Yup, im one of them. I'm about done and idgaf about the raid or any of the soulless weapons the game has now. By taking elemental primaries out and removing every op weapon from the current level game they ripped the soul from destiny. Yeah, a lot of y1 shit was seriously op, ghorn, icebreaker, black hammer, the mythoclast, but those weapons were unique and so so so fun to use. Trying to get those to drop was the only reason I ran the raids ever week, now..... Yeah they're all "viable" and we have "variety" but they're all interchangeable and replaceable. You could delete them all from my inventory and i would just use something else because, whatever, they're all pretty much the same guns now. Nothing really has a soul, or is powerful enough to want bad enough to deal with this games many many flaws

Edited by The 7th fall: 10/29/2015 7:26:39 AMActually recently Activision reduced the contracted 10 year plan to 8 years, or at least I've heard that from several different people. So yeah Activision is realizing they made a bad investment.

This game was a great idea they just fcuked it all up with their whipsawing changes and horribile reward system For the first time in a year idgaf if i do the raid or not, the raid weapons are mediocre at best and with the rng on the perk rolls can be downright shit They removed every op weapon in the game, trying to balance the broken pvp and force people to play the game they way they want you to play it. But more seriously what happened when they did that, and announced that there will be no more elemental primaries they've effectively ripped the soul out of this game. Dude, those weapons were op as fcuk, but that's what made them unique, and crazy fun to use, and highly sought after, *read, kept people doing the raids over and over and over again hoping for a ghorn, or an icebreaker or a vex or black hammer etc Now? Everything is viable, and nothing is indispensable or unique. Honestly, there is not a single y2 weapon that i would be pissed over if i deleted it, I'd just move on to any number of equally effective weapons and only be aggravated over losing the time and materials spent infusing it. Which is another turn off considering you can really only get 310 legendarys from the raid, and the drop rates are truly awful, I've been running it to oryx 3x a week for weeks now and I've got next to nothing and not a single character above 299, my friends as well, making it difficult to finish the raid not impossible, but i should be over 300 by now. Rng on the drop Rng on the slot Rng on the perks Rng on the level Too much man, no one wants to play this game over and over again and go nowhere, and this is it for me, no more dlc, probably no more playing after nov10th, because it's just disheartening to not progress

Yeah too much RNG, reducing rewards and making primaries non elemental from here on out was a big mistake. I've gotten my trophy for killing Oryx on hard, and have had Destiny platinumed since month two of this game's release, so I have no problem leaving and not spending another penny on this.
