I totally agree. I'm starting to see no point in raiding at this point. The raid can take hours out of a persons day and to get nothing, which is what I received on more than one occasion is ridiculous. The loot is already too rng dependent, and now you are telling me that not only do I have to hope to get a good roll when I get something, I also have to hope to get something in the first place. I have literally had times when I get super excited when I see I finally got 1 raid weapon or raid armor piece and proceed to disappointment when I scroll over the item and see that the light is 301 and the roll is absolute garbage. Same thing with trials coming up. Are you telling me that I am going to have to put in the work to get to the lighthouse only to be disappointed with trash perks on the weapons? Bungie is getting way too excited about this rng everything movement.
