Read all of it the first time. You're lucky you are getting drops at all but one section every time. As for the comparisons to Scrota and VoG, its really not valid because there wasn't infusion then. Once you have gun or armor you like, all you are truly looking for is a damage or defense number. So again, its fine the way it is. But alas, i'm sure you are in the 18-24 year old "gotta have everything now" group, so its expected. I mean when you suckle mommys num nums until you're 14 its kinda hard to adjust to real life.
