When i say not guaranteed anything, i meant armor. Not some shards or materials.

The fact is those materials were useful in for reaching max level so you weren't 100% screwed when you got them. Back then when completed a segment of a raid it was either "yes I got a new gun/armor piece" or "Oh I got shard/energy I can use that to max out my guns/armor." Now whenever someone completes a raid they react with "awesome hey I got something nice" or "Crap I got a piece of s*** that's near useless" or the much more common "oh great(sarcasm) bungie's piece of s*** lot system gave me and 2-4 other people nothing." I had a run at the doors where only 1 person got a prize the rest of the team got nothing and another person that run got nothing from warpriest, the door, and sister(we didn't do Oryx) so they got completely screwed and the 1 item they did get that run was only slightly better then what they already had. There's no excuse for a halfa** loot sytem like this when the item you get can be greatly inferior to what you already have or you get nothing 50% of the time for end game content.
