They should remove shards from Oryx's loot table.
Here is the theory
"Shards can add up so players have a chance to get additional items from Oryx so the grind is slightly reduced."
Here is the reality.
"All loot tables in the raid contain shards. Therefore you can get nothing at all one week in the raid and if you are lucky, can get enough crap luck to get it next week. Oh except they only work the first time you run the raid that week. Oh that's not fair? Farm a shit ton of Hadium Flakes for a single shard. And Oryx's loot table contains shards so you might turn in 20 shards and your two drops are 2 shards and 2 more shards."
So how exactly does this benefit players?
Give them less rewards in lieu of a possible reward of equal value to any of the missed opportunities alone which also is not guaranteed at that. Might wanna rethink this one Bungie.
Solution? Remove shards from Oryx's loot table. Stop being turds about it.

Don't forget, shards only get you an extra normal raid drop, not hard mode raid drop. So in fact, you get shards from bosses rather than hard mode loot, in order to combine them all to have enough to get one extra normal level drop. Yeah cheers. Great design.

I just love it when I trade 20 shards for 2.
