Since they're pretty high, I would like you to tell yours.
What does a game need to be decent?

Needs to be fun. Graphics have never bothered me, but that is all people care about now this gen. I just want my game to run smooth and play good. Graphics are a bonus.

Edited by Tuxx: 10/28/2015 8:04:41 PMNeeds to be fun above all else. Interesting or unique game mechanics are nice too. A huge and largely explicit story isn't always necessary, but if there is a heavy narrative it ought to be at least decent. Graphics are nice, but it's the art style and world design that take the visuals of a game and make it engrossing and captivating. I prefer a good looking game to an ugly one with high resolution and super detailed textures. A stable framerate is pretty important, but idc whether it's 60 or 30 fps personally.

I have different standards for different genres. But generally, it has to look good and play good.

Fun and the gameplay must be good, story and graphics are a second

At least a 12 hour story
halo did not meet 4 hour trash
I'd like a good story, multiplayer, and coop modes .e.g being able to play with friends and decent graphics, and it has to be fast paced

They need to be fun, difficult, have a high skill gap.

It needs to be something I find fun.

It needs to be a little quirky and different somehow. Be it art style, mechanics, characters, voice overs, soundtrack... Anything really. I've just started playing Layers of Fear - the way they have designed the environment is f*cking with my head like no other game has. I feel like I'm going insane.
