Dumbass. At least we got shards and energy sometimes.

The a terrible and dangerous phrase. "Because that's always how it's been done"
-
No... No they haven't...
-
Remember getting nothing but shards from VoG?
-
Shards were at least useful. I ran vog all summer right up until TTK dropped and never thought twice about the drops. They were fine. Normal drops weren't worse than hard drops either.
-
The only difference is back then you got materials that you actually needed to upgrade gear. Now you might get moldering shards which if you're playing on hard are literally worthless. To me that makes it a problem. I don't expect a change but I think adding so much as some notes or coins would have been satisfactory.

No. Previous raid would give us materials guaranteed from each encounter. I had 9 hard mode encounters last week plus the 9 boxes. I got 2 drops. That's 16 encounters with absolutely nothing earned from hours of sherpa work. Always top 2 damage on priest, golg and sisters. Even did totems on normal last night with a Halloween mask on, didn't die (278 light) and proceed to earn 2 moldy shards. On that note, I finished the entire normal last night with ONE total drop. That drop was from spending 20 shards in Oryx, otherwise I would have nothing to show from my complete raid except a pile of mold(ering shards) #Bungie please adjust the raid rng!

They have, it's true - but that sucks a$$. Haven't even finished a normal raid in TTK b/c based on my year 1 luck I foresee a ton of work for very little or no reward.
