It sort of does that already. If you do hard mode straight without doing normal and you only get regular items, then you got nothing from the hard mode encounter.

Why? I don't think you understand how the loot system works. You think removing normal drops will increase your chance for 310+ gear? Think again. Normal and hard mode loot tables are separate. What you get from one doesn't affect what you can get from the other one.

Edited by LegionofSlime: 10/28/2015 5:25:23 PMAlright but if I'm doing hard mode I should get what I need it's called smart rng and why I'm I getting 303 boots in hard mode?

Edited by Benzene21: 10/28/2015 5:49:55 PMBecause normal loot table is there. Hard mode has two loot tables: normal mode loot table and hard mode loot table. You get reward from each. If you did normal already, then there is no rewards from the normal loot table because you already got it. If you haven't done it, then you can get a reward from there (you can still get nothing because "nothing" is one of the "rewards" from the loot table). That's why you got those boots. They were from the normal loot table, but that doesn't affect what you can get from the hard mode loot table.

Nope. You are getting 303 boots because that was what you rolled on the normal mode loot table. You got nothing from hard mode. Had you done them separately, you would have gotten those boots during the normal run and nothing from the hard mode run. Spelling it out clearly as I can since this concept is apparently incomprehensible.
