I think we are looking for the same things from a game. I'm just saying that Halo's longevity will come from its MP. I don't care about grinding for ranks in MP, but a lot of people will. It's the Trials of Osiris crowd. Halo is much better and much more balanced for MP.
I'm a PvE guy myself. I have played a lot of Destiny PvE and grinded for a lot of loot, but I've grown pretty tired of the endless wheel of grind for gear that doesn't seem that special anymore and has a lot of variability in how it will drop, resulting in a lot of disappointment and a perception of wasted time. Fallout 4 will give me that PvE, loot based, rpg that is really my bread and butter for gaming, and Halo gives me the scratch to that shooter itch I get, and I can get off the scheduled, time consuming hamster wheel that is Destiny. Many of the changes in TTK are just there to try to increase player time in game. I'm tired of a game that asks me to play hours a day every day, and then do all the same things again next week, over and over. Especially since I can't really save or pause. That's just me, though. I haven't had any experience with MMOs, and I don't like how that mechanic requires me to allow it to control my schedule and time.

I certainly agree that Halo's longevity will come from MP. And I kinda get what you're saying. There are times when I'll be like I'm done for awhile, but so far it's always pulled me back. And also, full disclosure, I was REALLY disappointed with Destiny initially. But it won me over. So maybe Halo will surprise me yet. I just haven't seen that yet. And I'm also looking forward to Fallout 4. Prior to WoW and Destiny, Fallout 3 was the first game that I started to be aware that I was really spending a lot of time in that game. Of course it was probably one of the first ones that was kind of in your face about your total time played.

There is loot in halo it's called req packs they seem sick

Yeah, I still trying to get my head around them. From my understanding it seems like they're mostly cosmetic though?

Only played Warzone briefly, but the Req packs unlock new primary weapons you can req in game. They also provide 1 time only reqs for Super Weapons and Vechiles, unless you unlock the certidfication.
