Final edit: This is regarding having a chance of getting no drops from hard mode. A lot of people, including myself, have gotten very frustrated with this to the point where we just don't want to play anymore. PROOF THIS IS NOT A GLITCH AND SOMETHING WHICH IS INTENDED BY BUNGIE: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/169504792/0/0 It's not easy with a LFG team and after you spend a while fighting the boss, you get nothing or just normal mode loot. What's the point of doing it on Hard if you won't get loot anyway? I've seen it all. Vault of Glass normal and hard, Crota's End normal and Hard, along with Prison of Elders. I've been through forever 29 but never complained about the rewards but this time I am as every other encounter gave you something every time. Below is my original post. Don't I just love it when I spend 20 min on a encounter only to get nothing? Last week it was nothing from sisters. This week, it was nothing from Golgoroth and I was the one who had the gaze. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to remove drops completely is a dumbass who deserves a slap to the face. GIVE US GUARANTEED DROPS ON EVERY ENCOUNTER! Just to clarify one thing, I'm not asking for straight 320 drops with perfect rolls. I'm just asking for drops. Now, with the variety of things you can get, you won't be done immediately. You get a drop, then it needs to be 320 and it needs desirable rolls. For those of you saying "It has always been like this", it hasn't. I've been here since week one (Sign of Founders on my Hunter) and I'll tell you why. Before you got shards and / or energies. You could use those to upgrade your initial gear and make it more powerful. You got something out of it if you remembered correctly. Now, since you don't need ascendant materials to upgrade anymore, the equivalent could be seen as weapons or gear. You use high light stuff and upgrade your initial gear and make it more powerful. If you do a normal raid and complete it, then do a hard raid, or just do a hard raid straight then you have the chance of getting nothing which has 310+ light until Oryx. What was the point of doing the previous encounters then if they don't guarantee you items? And it's not like this is infrequent. I didn't get anything from 3/5 encounters last week and 2/5 encounters this week. How is that fair? Also, those of you calling me "entitled", I am entitled. I finished the activity therefore I earned the rewards. If you disagree with that then why not just remove loot completely from every activity? Edit: 250+ replies.   • Dude you know what frustrates people the most? Getting rewards that are 310, 311, 312, 313 when they finally get a hard mode drop. It should drop 315-320, nothing below 315. Why? Because we already have everything 310 mainly to even be able to do Hard mode.

  • Hard mode needs to drop 310 and up, this needs to happen, don't care about drop rates seems fine to me, but doing hard and getting low 300 stuff blows big time

    • It's just crappy RNG that's been in the game since Year 1. Remember only getting Shards from Crota? Yep. Atheon? Yep. But I do agree on this because it's a slap to the scrotum when you do Oyrx and get Moldering Shards.

    • Also hm loot need to be available from chests in hm after nm completed . I should still be able to pull a hm roll out of the totem chest and daughters chest because when i do hm first i get nm and hm loot. I compare this to VOG and crota. The only time you wouldn't be able to pull loot from hm after doing nm was for the exotic loot roll. ,ie atheon, deathsingers, crota. You could only get the exotic chance once. Is this a glitch??? Or is it meant to be shittied up like this.

      • They could make it where moldering shards are tradable to Eris for raid gear (such as 30 to 40 for a random raid weapon or armor piece)

      • Yeah, this was poorly implemented. As of now, HM drops are the only way to get both exotic and legendary gear to 320.... AND the HM that does drop isn't even necessarily 320. There should some guaranteed (and changed) drops: Glyph: Ghost Shell = 311-320 HM Class Item = 311-320 Players don't want to see this in the endgame loot table once they get a 320 ghost or class item. Put this in the raid table ONCE and let players focus on armor/weapons, which is what we really want. Warpriest: HM SR = 311-320 HM FR = 311-320 HM SG = 311-320 HM RL = 311-320 HM MG= 311-320 No changes here, except the sisters will share an identical pool so players will have more chances to collect each of the 5 secondary/heavy weapons. Golgy: HM Chest = 311-320 HM Arms = 311-320 HM Boots = 311-320 No changes here. He's a brick wall. Getting armors from a brick wall seems appropriate... Sisters: HM SR = 311-320 HM FR = 311-320 HM SG = 311-320 HM RL = 311-320 HM MG= 311-320 This gives more opportunities to at least GET one of each kind of weapon. I personally never even saw a rocket launcher throughout all of NM. Now, players will get secondaries/heavies - but can instead focus on infusing up to 320, rather than simply getting shafted with a 310 HM sniper after 30+ runs.... Oryx: HM Helmet = 320 HM Primary = 320 [i]*May also drop an exotic IN ADDITION TO the raid gear.*[/i] Oryx should drop a guaranteed '320' item since there's essentially no other way to get exotics or other gear to '320'. With each boss/stage having a guaranteed drop, the issue with forever 311-315 BS drop syndrome will go away. People can slowly infuse 1 weapon/helmet up to 320. Oryx is pretty damn hard for most folks if they lack the drops to even challenge him. The drop should reflect the effort/skill required to beat him.

          • I agree that NOTHING should not be a chance on the table. Ran HM last night and at the Warpriest and Golg, 4 people got 2 shards for normal loot and nothing for Hard loot. What the hell kind of incentive is that to keep running? I personally would even taken another Fusion rifle, for the 15th time, for infusion fodder.

          • yes, i beat oryx hardmode on my hunter and got to oryx on my alts. giving all the gear they got to my hunter(which wasnt much) I wasnt even able to gain a single light level. this loot system is broken and needs serious fixing
