I think I speak for the entire destiny community when I say I'm outraged that their will be no more burns on primary weapons . What's the point of hard and heroic kings fall raid ? What's the point of going to the lighthouse ? It seems like every time destiny makes changes to improve the game we take steps backwards . Weapon diversity is an important matter but when I'm in PVE all I mainly use in my primary slot is the zhalo supercell . I don't think having burns on primary weapons ruins the game . In year 1 I used a wide range of weapons not just Fatebringer or VOC . We need to have the option to use guns we like with elements we want on them .. So In regards to elemental primaries, instead of removing them, we should be able to make guns with elemental damage. Xur should sell items that we can use to add elemental damage to our weapons. They couldn't be universal, they would have to be specific to what gun that you're using I.E. Hand-cannon, auto-rifle, scout-rifle, and pulse-rifle. Call them "elemental essences", or you can get fancy with it. Then you can introduce equitable elemental shields, in which Solar>Void, void>arc, arc>solar and non-elementals would do a lowered but equal amount across the board and vice versa. Tell me that isnt a million dollar idea!

Bump let us choose what element goes on what weapon. That'd diversify PVE load outs

I'd like to at least see one of each type (maybe a void handcannon [upgraded Word of Crota] and a Solar pulse rifle). And I'm fine with them being exotic; if you want an elemental primary, that's the prive you pay. Also, I think it would be cool if there was a quest that would allow you to put a burn on No Time to Explain, maybe something involving the Exo Stranger. Given the amount of effort involved in getting it, you should be able to make it awesome in the way you want it.

I'm ok with Bungie doing away with primary burns. But now that primary burns are removed from endgame rewards, shouldn't there be something else added to the guns to make them more useful and rewarding? To make them different from normal mode? Not just a higher attack lvl and a new skin. Perhaps an extra random perk, move the Cocoon perk under the Will Of Light perk. It wouldn't even make the guns OP. Just make them feel like a even better reward then normal mode guns. But it's to late for that now. Oh the title of this post gave me a great Idea. Put a material in the Nightfall rewards that can change the Elemental burn of a special or heavy weapon. Or put it as a guaranteed reward in Gunsmith packages.

I think primary's are fine just the way they are, elemental damage is not needed at all. Plus it kills nightfalls already far to easy,

ive been saying this since the first time i played the raid all they would have to do is add it as a drop from oryx then make you go to the gunsmith to choose your burn and bam you now have a way to keep the diversity of guns that bungie is trying to create and it gives all of us players exactly what we want. in pvp they could make it so that if someone blocks your bullets with a sword the shield resists dissimilar damage types but kinetic damage stays stable making players think what weapons to use whether or not they should switch to their secondary or keep using their primary weapon so on and so forth
