I'm not just talking frequency of drops - I honestly think that's mostly fine. What I'm talking about is the level they drop at.
In the original VoG, drops weren't the most frequent (slightly less frequent than our current raid - but not crazily different), but when you did get a drop, whether it be a weapon or armor piece, it had the inherent ability to be max level once you finished upgrading it.
With our current situation, when you do get that drop you want so dearly (I'm still waiting for a helmet =/) it could still drop at 300 for normal, or 310 for hard. This seems to add a ridiculous amount of possible extra grinding, as you could get all the gear the raid has to offer, both on normal and hard mode, and still be stuck at 300 or 310, respectively. For example, I got a 300 chest piece from normal mode a couple weeks ago, and a 312 sniper from hard mode last week.
I feel that these items should at minimum drop at 305 or 315, respectively (but honestly it could be 310 and 320, respectively). I can get 300 blue weapons from any strike, and feel that a drop from the raid should be inherently better, as they have been in every highest level end-game content previously.
It definitely has that "forever 29" vibe to the whole thing, but even slightly more. I get that 319/320 is MUCH different than 29/30, but the insatiable desire to be "maxed out" will, in my opinion, take longer than it ever has before to be satisfied.
Let me know your thoughts!

Frequency is poor + I keep getting gloves that are lower than what I'm already wearing. I'll be happy just to get 310+, never mind 320. TTK = VoG pre-TDB drop rates
