Treasures of the Lost are not cosmetic only
Pay-to-win has come to "Destiny". As part of the Festival of the Lost, players can use silver to purchase Treasures of the Lost. This random package could include items that speed up weapons upgrades and glimmer farming. So, remember when Bungie said silver would only be used for cosmetic items? Well, they aren't.
Micro-transactions are a slippery slope. The community needs to keep Bungie from going down that slope. Make your voices hear. Raise a ruckus. Let the Bungie faithful assail your revulsion of micro-transactions and pay-to-win. Let them see your resolve. Until Bungie relents and goes back to making "Destiny" the game it should be, we hold the line.

These aren't cosmetic items only. They include consumables.
Edit: Keep responding. "STFO, "Never go full . . .", "You're an idot". It's all there already. Every reply bumps this post and keeps the pressure on Bungie to avoid going pay-to-win. And yes, I know some Guardians would love it if "Destiny" went pay-to-win and they could just buy a Gjallarhorn 3.0, but that's not the game I bought.

Pay to win: leaving the best/highest light level weapons or armor to be sold for silver. That is winning, not chewy glimmer or sour engrams.

Saving me 250 glimmer for an item such as a weapon or glimmer consumable that I wouldnt have bought or used anyways isnt pay to win. You're a tard It was worth saying twice.

Nothing is more game-breaking than Packages that give me one of a Consumable I already own hundreds of and can acquire dozens more of with literally 5-10 minutes of gameplay. OP speaks the truth.

1 ReplyA lot of you are neglecting the OP's point. Bungie said specifically that the objects sold would only be cosmetic. Regardless of the crap in your bank or any other flawed diagnosis, the point is still that the objects are not cosmetic, but rather they are consumable. The slippery slope is right in front of us, prepare for the long drop.

Wow their selling items that speed up weapon progress and glimmer farming... Big deal.... Weapons are already insanely easy to upgrade and it's not Like people don't have other glimmer farm items.... This was a welcome surprise, considering most people were expecting nothing for Halloween.
