You're bypassing having to worry about Light Eater Knights. It's a cheese. Just like the bubble strat on Crota to avoid the Wizard. That was a cheese. Pushing Atheon off was an exploit and a cheese. Perma kneeling Crota was an exploit and a cheese. Gjallahorn on Skolas with Solar Burn was a cheese because you bypassed the ads and taint.

It's not a cheese. That's smart as hell.. you're just salty because you lack the mental capacity to do any thinking on the spot. No, instead you rinse and repeat over and over again like a blind sheep. Pushing off a cliff is a cheese. This still goes through all the steps.
-
So do I always cheese by skipping Totem of Annihilation mechanic on Golgoroth by not dying 6 times?
-
But you still do have to worry about them, they can one shot you at lower levels and if not quick enough for whatever reason they will still take the bomb, no one ever said we had to kill them...the only thing we know for a fact is that we just need to keep them from eating the bomb...which this strat does.
-
That's like saying clearing the Cursed Thrall early at Golgoroth is a cheese because they're supposed to attack you when you jump down.
-
You're so wrong
-
The objective of a raid , or strikes is to kill the boss....with that in mind, how is using a weapon that was best suit for that modifier that the developer assigned cheesing?
-
Wow what a restrictive world you live in, are you allowed to use guns on patrol in your universe? Or is that a cheese too?
-
Just because people do it different than you doesn't make it a cheese. There are no false or abuse of mechanics here. It is a logical strategy.
-
The method doesn't even ignore the knights. When I ran it, the knights still ate orbs because my team didn't stop them and were so worried about mindlessly shooting oryx' stomach. Gg.

You're a cheese.
-
So does that mean on the psion flayer nightfall by lowering the health of each flayer to pretty much nothing then killing all of them at once a cheese? Cause it seems like a pretty functional stratedgy since the reinforcements don't show up til they die one at a time and the ship still comes but if you're fast enough it won't drop off the colossus. Just throwing that out there.
-
Good point, or how about stopping from dpsing crota so he wouldn't enrage at the wrong time
-
Do you kill EVERY ad before they are cleared by a boss mechanic? Same thing could be argued...
-
Why did't Atheon just kick the sh** out of them...because he could not.
-
I'm being serious, not sarcastic here. By your logic (in relation to Skolas) killing crota in 2 rounds is a cheese because it let's you skip the Ogres.
-
In Crota, was leaving the boomer knights alive to avoid the wizard a cheese? No way.
-
It's called knowing the mechanics and understanding how to be efficient as possible.
-
Uh huh
-
Sarcasm detected?
-
All mechanics happens upon its proper order. This is not a cheese, its just another way to do the fight without exploiting / removing the fights mechanic. Just like the One Gaze strat on Golgoroth. Same thing, different pile.

-
a cheese imo is one where you skip a function of the game gally on skolas is no cheese simply because you're just doing too much damage. there's no time for adds and taint to take effect this oryx thing is no cheese for that same reason. the Knights would spawn but not enough time. idc about this debate but I'll throw my two cents
-
Not getting the chest in the maze is a cheese since you're skipping that mechanic.
-
So then beating a boss before he enrages is a cheese? You're skipping the enrage mechanic so by you're logic it's always a cheese.
