The reason it is cheese is because killing oryx like that does not require all six players to be effective and useful and take an equal share of the weight. This cheese method allows for carries, which has always been problematic in the destiny community, and I was hoping that the mechanics of this raid would make it impossible, but guess not.

Raids have always had that room for creative strategy because they know that whatever roadblocks they put up someone will figure out a way around it. These things should be admired not shunned. This is the same thing that happened with Crota's End when everyone moved to middle strat from left strat. They called that a cheese for weeks, but Bungie never patched it cause they felt it was clever. It's about working smarter not harder. And it's not breaking anything. Just out thinking the fight. And that's impressive.

False. Having one guy run sword in CE and the other stand around is an off balance off duties as well as one guy running relic in VOG...

Oryx fight does not require you to kill the orges to stagger him. (Which is the most important) Or to kill the vessel to stagger him (vessel works as a light eater) Those knights still do spawn after the orges dies. You're just getting there before they do anyway. No one said you had to kill them because they despawn after the bombs. Even if a light eater steals a bomb. As long as you get 1 bomb off. Oryx takes damage (of course this draws the fight out)

Whats wrong with carrying people some people aren't that good but like to play and I like to help them bc I wasn't good when I started so who care I'll carry anybody if I can

Because people who aren't good enough to earn that gear from the raid shouldn't have it. Simple. What bungie should do it just sell similar stuff to what you can earn in the raid and take the cheeses out. This way crappy people can just buy that gear, they don't need to earn it. The rest of us can play the game and have fun actually beating it. Cheesing is the same as using a game shark.

I disagree if one person on your team dies, it is very difficult to complete Oryx.

I disagree because you still have to have people on the platforms, you still have to kill 4 ogres, you still have to detonate 4 bombs, you still have to beat the shadow.

But you DON'T have to do all of that in addition to killing four knights, a centurian, a bunch of acolytes/thrall and be more exposed to danger while doing it.

The DPS threshold is not very high when you have multiple touch of malices going. I would guess that you could easily carry two underlevelled players, three would be a bit too hard.
