By the authority of the noble Prophets of Truth, Regret, and Mercy.
Henceforth, any and all battle worthy Sangheili are to be transferred from any idle posts in High Charity and/or upon any Covenant held world/ship into the active combat. Those amongst the excused are the Honour Guard, the Councillors, and the mentally ill, physically unfit, and the old. Female Sangheili are, as always, prohibited from taking part in any military action.
Any Sangheili engaged in a guard post, other than the Honour Guard, will be replaced by the Jiralhanae until such a time as the High Council deems otherwise. Any Jiralhanae in question of where they now stand shall direct all enquiries to Tartarus, Chieftain of the Jirahanae.
Failure to adhere to this edict will result in death. No exceptions. These are trying times, my brothers. The Human infidels persist in resisting the might of the Covenant. Rest assured, this 'war' as some are calling it, will be over soon -- to be forgotten and dismissed as an insignificant event in Covenant history.

You know, I could probably get my mom to put it into a book thing, she does stuff like scrapbooking and stuff all the time... I could send you a copy or something wolvers, you could have a little shelf with all of your novels on it or something... It would be pretty cool, you could let your friends borrow and read it and stuff

I'm no good with formatting or anything like that though, so I dropped the idea. But no, real publishing is absolutely absurd as an idea. Not only would 343i never condone it in a million years, but the actual novel itself is vastly under a publishable standard. Even now I don't think I'm at a level where I would consider pursuing publication of an original text. After getting over the depressingly awful end of Mass Effect 3, I'm back to it. I should have some time to work on the next chapter in the coming few weeks, so stay tuned. I read the last part a while ago, and I have to say, it truly does keep getting better! You have once again given the plot certain unexpected twists that kept it all interesting, but still realistic (as far as that is possible in sci-fi fan-fiction). Even though my laptop is broken, I have been lurking here every day on my mobile phone. Never got around to posting before, though.

I started reading this two days ago, and I am in awe; I discovered this through a Google search for "halo ossoona" and wow, have I been rewarded more than I expected. This is amazing. Your literary skills are on a par with, if not reaching above and beyond, those of publishing writers. I have had the fortune to discover this now, reading all the chapters at will until this point. Well, at its core it's a tale about three brothers in all but blood and how their lives are changed forever by events greater than them, how they struggle against adversity to rise to the challenge these events present and retain their friendship amidst it all. The [i]Halo[/i] universe is just a conduit and catalyst for the story; it's used as a tool, not a foundation. That core is the only constant - anything else is periphery, at least in my eyes. You'll see how things develop, until then keep wondering and thanks for reading.

At last! 46 pages, more than 8-9 dedicated hours of non-stop reading and I have to say, this was one of the greatest reads I have ever endeavored!! Now I'm wondering, Who is friend and who is foe? Is this a tragedy? Although it may seem like one, surely there will be an ending that links up with the Heretics in Halo 2 (as most Elites were in shock when they found out, many honor guard Elites committed suicide, and the Heretics are the only ones who would be prepared to handle the news)?
