SCHOLAR, SOLDIER, HERETIC... SAVIOUR.
At first, the life of a warrior in the Covenant army seems a noble one. But are the motives behind the war with the humans as innocent as the Sangheili, Sorran, believes? An act of heresy unveils a conspiracy spanning thousands of years, which could bring about the total ruin of the Covenant.

Prologue
Edict of the Most High Prophet of Truth, 9th Age of Reclamation.
By the authority of the noble Prophets of Truth, Regret, and Mercy.
Henceforth, any and all battle worthy Sangheili are to be transferred from any idle posts in High Charity and/or upon any Covenant held world/ship into the active combat. Those amongst the excused are the Honour Guard, the Councillors, and the mentally ill, physically unfit, and the old. Female Sangheili are, as always, prohibited from taking part in any military action.
Any Sangheili engaged in a guard post, other than the Honour Guard, will be replaced by the Jiralhanae until such a time as the High Council deems otherwise. Any Jiralhanae in question of where they now stand shall direct all enquiries to Tartarus, Chieftain of the Jirahanae.
Failure to adhere to this edict will result in death. No exceptions. These are trying times, my brothers. The Human infidels persist in resisting the might of the Covenant. Rest assured, this 'war' as some are calling it, will be over soon -- to be forgotten and dismissed as an insignificant event in Covenant history.

No, they all take place in the Halo universe. That doesn't mean you'll be seeing a young Lieutenant Commander Eden in the UNSC fleet or Archer fighting Zharn and Ahkrin with Switch, Rook and Mains though. :P
-
They are Halo fan fiction, and therefore take place in the Halo universe, and Wolvers has stated before that his aim is to adhere to the canon. So therefore yes, they do take place in the same universe. Unless they don't. And if that is the case, then I am sorry Wolvers, I'll let you explain.
Posted by: Mr Evil 37
Posted by: Gamer Whale Hey Wolver, do your stories happen in same universe? Or is there a different one for each story?
The fact that they are all Halo fan fiction should answer that question for you. Just so you guys know, Connor was debating whether he should write some more True Sangheili last night - while he was absolutely smashed :P
I don't see how that answers the question.

With patience comes quality.
-
Thank you for the explanation. Please pass your exams for your fans k. We want are writer to come back as a hero you know :P
-
Okay guys, back on topic please. Regarding the lack of frequent chapters, I do apologise. Over the next two weeks I'm very busy with GCSE exams but once they're over I'll have more time to write and hopefully bring out a chapter at least once a week. ... until the next exams. Life isn't like what it was when I started Memoirs, where I had no examinations and bagfuls of time on my hand. Oh well. I'll do my best.
Posted by: Axe11154 but the thing is when sould I start writing large more elaborate story's.
When people stop complaining (or compliment you, which is what I'll do) about your spelling and grammar, that would be the time to either write longer fan-fics or write short original stories. When you've written some short stories, gradually advance onto longer stories. For example, first time, you create a collection of 10 stories in a book, then, next time, try to cut it down to somewhere around 7 or maybe 8, but with the same amount of pages. After that, go to 4 or 5, 2 or 3 and then you should be ready for a full on novel.
Posted by: Mr Evil 37 I have some advice for original writing, Connor. In my experience, it is better to begin with short stories to get the hang of creating your own story, characters, universe etc. in a shorter, less demanding fashion than to jump into writing a novel first. Just a suggestion.
I follow this guy by the book lol. but the thing is when sould I start writing large more elaborate story's. Will it just hit me like a train or will it happen when I have found what I fit.
-
I agree with Elliott, even though I've completely gone against that advice. :P I feel that it's too difficult to manage a fan fiction and an original at the same time, one should take priority over the other because otherwise you run the risk of lacking commitment to one of them. I'd say Connor is very versed in the yarn of creating his own canon... ;) [Edited on 11.05.2010 4:00 PM PDT]

Arcane Matrices isn't really publicly available; you can read some of the chapters in the Mirratord if you'd like. But finding the story could prove a challenge. Anyway, it's not really a major priority at the moment. In all honesty I'm not a good enough writer to properly write an original novel just yet; I'm just testing the water and experimenting with something that isn't Halo. It's not bad, but it's no masterpiece.

Can you PM me a link or something, I'd like to read it.
Posted by: steadman No, Memoirs is finished. All he has now is True Sangheili and an original piece of writing {non fan-fic) that he has not done much of.
Part II isn't finished. It's only 3-4 chapters in right now, and it's been like that for months.
