It's not fun at all and it's incredibly annoying. I don't want to have to keep reviving teammates every five seconds who continually die from the Precursors (and dying multiple times myself). Who at Bungie thought that would be fun?

You are on the legacy strike list (or the dynamic in the TTK list decided to give that area)... In which case, kill the cyclops asap. This lifts the darkness zone restriction. Lastly, guessing you are on Xbox. If so, as a ps4 player I say "you're welcome."

Jump up the pillar at the start, snipe the mini boss, bam death zone is gone, kill the rest.

Screw that. That's my fire teams favourite part. It so fun super your way up the hill :)

I just soloed this strike today for the hunger pangs quest, somehow. I did have to res once at the part with the 2nd horde.

I don't think it's THAT bad. The SABER strike with taken Warsat is infinitely worse ....

Rush and kill the wizard major right away then you get to skip entire phase

If each player spaces their super it's not that bad. You could also stay on one side(I prefer the right), for the ToM quest line on this strike I had to do it myself. I was using my titans sunbreaker took care of the first ads did damage on the boss, used my super on the majors repeated as necessary. With a full team it should be even easier.

This was the first example of bungies current mantra that hordes of adds = fun and also the core challenge of the game.... And they have been doing this more and more since
