Let me get this straight real quick. The main reason people used these elemental primaries in y1 was because of their perks. Fatebringer and the vision had beautiful rolls. Did you see everybody using word of crota? No way near as much as other guns with better perks. Burn is only a slight buff to damage against the relevant shield, so it made no difference to the other 90% of enemies. So no we WAS NOT forced to use elemental weapons. It added a fun dynamic to CHOICE
