This is not a good enough reason to reduce the number of parts we get. It's like reducing worldwide food production because a few have too much food, while some are starving. Stupid.
further adjustments may be in order?
This is not a matter of if adjustments are in order, it is a matter of adjustments are needed. No one thought they had too many parts and wanted to have less.
Bump until Bungie clearly get the message.
Edit: We're trending, gw people. Keep up the bumping. Make your own post on the issue. Whatever we have to do to make sure that every time a Bungie employee checks the forums, the first thing they lay their eyes on is a "weapons parts issue" post.

Can't agree more, I've been a Destiny addict since September of 2014, logged countless hours in this game and I have never complained on these forms. Not once. But the fact that my number one issue is not having enough weapon parts is down right pathetic. Like many others I regrettably spent countless weapon parts rerolling guns in HoW. I ran out, but before TTK dropped I was beyond stocked up. But now that all of my old weapons became obsolete, I have to upgrade new guns to either test them out or raise their light. Doesn't help that to get a gun fully upgraded you only have to dismantle some motes of light, makes it all too easy to try out a freshly earned weapon. And there are so many awesome new guns but guess what.. Can't use them. Hell after arms day next week I'll have every available exotic weapon but I still haven't had enough weapon parts to unlock the perks on the ace of spades or the titans auto rifle. This community has put up with enough of your half assed, bugged, money milking and untested content BActivision, but nerfing our ability to try the weapons you created is the dumbest thing I've seen come out of this hacked up game.
BActivision(noun)- name of a company once called Bungie that's now owned by Activision
