The traveler is a giant floating white sphere, and, at the risk of sounding like a tumblr justice warrior, YOU GIVE IT A GENDER?! It's like calling a star a he, or earth a she. Traveler doesn't have a vag(to our knowledge) or a phallus. Therefor the Traveler is an 'it'.

The lorists believe alpha lupi (who is a she ) was the traveler. Just as oryx was a she that them turned a king as a he I'm not being a gender warrior I'm basing it off what I've been able to gather
