This reasoning is a joke and Bungie knows it. Bungie is acting like Weapon Parts are some be all, end all item that could break the game if they allowed a vendor to start selling the parts. Even if they don't want a vendor to sell Weapon Parts then how about a perk called...oh I don't know..."Weapon Parts Extractor"? Same goes for Armor Materials.

Gota love how vague Bungie have been about so much of this game and that one of their in-game lines of dialogue is [quote]I don't even have time to explain why I don't have time to explain[/quote] It's just too good :)
