I personally really miss have primary weapons with elemental damage, specifically my The Scholar (Adept)s, but I see a lot of posts where other players are saying that they prefer not having any primary weapons with elemental damage because it restricted their player choice of what primary weapons to use.
I believe I have a solution that would make everyone happy:
Create a new consumable which grants a temporary elemental damage buff to whatever primary weapon is currently equipped.
Allow the consumable to last for somewhere around 5-10 minutes. You could call them "Solar|Arc|Void Primary Weapon Core" and give flavor text similar to "An unsanctioned black market weapon core not supported by the Vanguard - may cause weapons to overheat or explode. DO NOT use for prolonged engagements." You could have Xur sell them for motes of light or strange coins.
This way if you had a Solar Primary Weapon Core and the Nightfall had a Solar Burn you could apply it to any of your favorite primary weapons to make it more powerful for a short time.

Indeed sir or given the option to switch between arc and kenetic with supercell for example or solar and kenetic with a vex, I love options like that in games it gives us more freedom

Edited by Panthorius: 10/23/2015 2:35:38 AMremember, there is that new "exotic" auto-rifle that has ARC damage with chaining and double chaining :), it's Impact is low but it's promising.

They created glass spindles so any thing is possible.

Love it, as long as it doesn't cost 5 coins each

No. I just want one exotic that switches between elements like susanoo. But I want it to hit like the vex pre nerf. Or like a truck. Make it -blam!-ing functional and useful.

I saw a similar idea the this were you could essentially get cores that added a burn to your weapon. You would have to earn them from raid bosses to get one. I thought that idea was a bit better because it had the customization

This is great.:P

Perfect. Would make nightfalls better because of that modifier for matching shields.
