If someone made a men only clan that would be sexist but this is fine? -blam!-ing double standards man.

Dads of destiny?

Have you ever actually seen someone say that all male clans are sexist?I always see people like you whinging that there's a double standard, but is there really?I've never seen anyone opposed to all male clans.
-
By your logic then UK only group dads of destiny and many others would be discriminating in some form

To let you know, sexism is discrimination against a persons sex. So this female only group is sexist against males. It is more normally used towards females from history and society which makes people think you can only be sexist towards the female gender. Sexist works both ways when it comes to discrimination of gender. Personally I don't care if they are making a female only group or not. Its just a safe environment for female gamers to group and play the game without the majority of the male gamers that are hound dogs and harass them.

To let you know, sexism (or any other ism) requires power/privilege. Unlike discrimination, which anyone can do on any basis, sexism is discrimination by the privileged sex (in most cases, online gaming included, men) against the disadvantaged group (again, in most cases, women). So, by definition, as females, we cannot be sexist against men. We could discriminate against men, however, that would imply that we're treating men poorly, which we have stated time and again is not our mission. Creating a positive, safe space for women does not equal creating an anti-male space. If anything, one of the things I love about our group is how entirely absent concern about men is from this group - no man-hating posts, no rants against men being evil - just a group of women creating a positive space to game and have a ton of fun. Something I think you also appreciate given your post. Good luck in the world, guardian!

Man I don't blame females for have female only clans some blokes online are really wankers and creepy

I guess it has been about two minutes since someone tried to use that flawed logic against us. There are male-only clans out there, and, speaking personally, I have no problem with them. I think about a group like Dads of Destiny, which has a great mission, is highly active, and seems to provide a very positive environment for its members. What's not to support? Even if the group is a troll-filled, woman-hating group of desperately under socialized cavemen, they would still have the right to have their group. It would also help me know who to steer clear of, since it's a little hard to tell just by someone's username whether or not they're a prize idiot. Safe spaces for female gamers are clearly needed, a point comments like yours make abundantly clear.
