  • Been reading. The worms and the traveler appear to be enemies, but that's all that seems to be shown for sure. Not all that fights evil is good. Evil by its very nature will fight itself. How do we know that the traveler is not just another like the worms. What if the traveler uses the golden ages to advance itself? In short fast forward the evolution of a civilization then harvest the end state. The traveler could even be working with the worms. The worms consume destruction and the traveler needs space to build. So in a giant cycle the worms consume a part of reality, then the traveler rebuilds it. A cycle of planting and harvest that would benefit both. The more I look into this the more it seems like yin and yang. Opposing forces that feed off each other and create balance, but at the same time the good contains a small bit of evil and the evil contains a small amount of good. All of this could be due to the story being rewritten and contradicting lore being forgotten. But with Osiris being around, it would seem like the intention is to create mystery and doubt in the player base towards the traveler. I'm hoping they're setting up some good plot twists and maybe even critical choices for the community itself. Maybe like a choose your own adventure kind of interactive plot.
