I don't subscribe to the Traveler being evil (though the Black Garden was rumored to be inside the Traveler before they chopped up the story). But I do believe Rasputin is the one who crippled/destroyed it because it attempted to flee Earth when the darkness arrived. So really, we're not that much better than the Fallen
