A year is measured as a complete rotation around a sun. I can't help but wonder if a year on Fundament is longer than a year on earth. If they only lived ten Earth years, that's pretty messed up.

This. This this. This this this. It doesn't say explicitly, but I think that the text implies that a Fundament year is much longer than an earth year. There are a lot of things happening per Fundament year, and when the destruction event is expected, there is an implication that it is imminent but there is still time...

Says that the fojndament is huge pretty sure its as big as a star imo plus isnt it like gaseous so leaning that they lived on a huge star
