This is not a good enough reason to reduce the number of parts we get. It's like reducing worldwide food production because a few have too much food, while some are starving. Stupid.
further adjustments may be in order?
This is not a matter of if adjustments are in order, it is a matter of adjustments are needed. No one thought they had too many parts and wanted to have less.
Bump until Bungie clearly get the message.
Edit: We're trending, gw people. Keep up the bumping. Make your own post on the issue. Whatever we have to do to make sure that every time a Bungie employee checks the forums, the first thing they lay their eyes on is a "weapons parts issue" post.

I've been in a drought since HoW and now I'm stuck at a solid three.
-
Let us buy weapon parts Bungie--please! #feedback
-
I saved up 400 weapons parts pre the TTK. I now have 6 weapons parts. No more infusion for me :(

Gimme my weapon parts GDit!
-
Marks for parts.
-
Agreed. I do not have a stockpile of parts like some do. Therefore, I'm hurting for more. I think we all enjoy some kind of grind, to help make us feel like we are working for something. This change, however, feels too forced. I want to enjoy the time I am online. I don't want artificial choke points that feels like a punishment.
-
Just one more way to extend the grind and keep those playtimes inflated, now I've never run out of parts yet, but I am one of those people that likes to really test a gun out before deciding whether it's worth keeping or not, and most times that involves fully upgrading it. Have definitely noticed my weapon parts running lower and lower even dismantling stuff from engrams while running strikes etc.
-
Bump. It's shocking how Bungie doesn't understand the economy of their own game. I think that most of the people making and implementing these changes (like reducing weapon parts and strange coin drops), do not actually play Destiny for any appreciable amount of time. Stop reducing things that don't need reduction Bungie!
-
Quoting a sentence out of context doesn't prove anything That was in regards to them saying how the nerf may be subject to change because there numbers are confusing
-
I have not noticed getting any less parts from my weapons. I read the patch and thought it would be awful but I still get 3 parts 90% of the time
-
How is anyone low on weapon parts?
-
I think TTK was great but they are making it very grindy. There hasn't been a big release of guns and gear. People are generally looking the same and using the same few guns. The raid is pretty much just being farmed now and we pop in for a new timed released exotic now and then. The fact is that the game is just lacking content and people are getting bored. Destiny needs a major content release and every installment just feels like a DLC.
-
I turn my parts in for faction rep and I still don't run out.
-
-
But imagine how upset all those people who don't use many weapon parts would be if they had TOO MANY!
-
Agreed. I personally have more than enough materials and parts across my 3 characters but don't see why others should suffer this fate. People who are just starting out in destiny or have started since ttk launch will find this grind a bit of a pointless one.
-
They did this to increase the grind, nothing else. There is no justification in reducing the most important material in the game. Can deej, cozmo or anyone from bunghole make a statement on this forum in clear, concise ENGLISH that we can all understand why they nerfed weapon parts? No "weapon bottleneck" bollocks just plain English. I doubt it.
-
I really don't get why they reduced them in the first place =/
-
Dude, Bungie has never once stopped tweaking anything. It's all in flux. I for one always have too many parts, so this hardly bothers me. You're not alone in your opinion, but neither am I. Let them do their thing, they're catering to a huge base.
-
Agreed. I have 1000 weapon parts and will probably never use them, but that's besides the point. Let the people have their weapon parts!
-
Running low right now. I'm not in a good place
-
Preach it, brother!
-
I moved over 50 weapons parts from my other character to my main just so I could upgrade the few weapons I had, and now I have almost none again
