This is not a good enough reason to reduce the number of parts we get. It's like reducing worldwide food production because a few have too much food, while some are starving. Stupid.
further adjustments may be in order?
This is not a matter of if adjustments are in order, it is a matter of adjustments are needed. No one thought they had too many parts and wanted to have less.
Bump until Bungie clearly get the message.
Edit: We're trending, gw people. Keep up the bumping. Make your own post on the issue. Whatever we have to do to make sure that every time a Bungie employee checks the forums, the first thing they lay their eyes on is a "weapons parts issue" post.
-
I thought I had enough and was getting enough until I went to Infuse a weapon and didn't have any :( so they make it easier to get weapons just not as easy to upgrade
-
Bump I always run out of parts.
-
I think deep down we all know that next month they will suddenly appear at tess' kiosk.
-
I agree. As someone who has ~1600 weapon parts, I see no need to lower the amounts obtained. The way I see it, the only reason they had to lower the amounts was to control the contributions to the factions. Honestly, the easy solution to that would be to increase the contribution amounts needed or to remove that option if that truly was their concern.

Always running out of weapon parts
-
Bump. I thought weapons parts were fine before the patch to reduce. Grinding for parts is soooooo boring.
-
Definitely
-
They should just have gunsmith sell them. Problem solved
-
Yeah, i have a ton but for the first time in ever my number is going down instead of up - and fast, they need to fix this.
-
Bump to the 10th power! Straight Cash Homie
-
The struggle for weapon parts is real!!! I have never had any problems with weapon parts... until yesterday! My hunter ran out of weapon parts. I was so confused as I usually have more than enough. Why nerf weapon parts when we use them more than ever before in the game? Just let there be weapon parts!
-
Bump. Grinding strikes for a few hours just to replace parts is not enjoyable.
-
Bump. I never have weapon parts. I don't have time to grind everyday all day. My Ole lady has like 600 something weapon parts. She can't figure out why I have none. Well for one. I don't get weapon drops like she does. And two, whe I'm on I only do activities bc it's all I have time for. Shit is ridiculous...
-
I have 420 weapon parts at this given moment Bump
-
At this point, I would love for a glimmer or mote exchange. Or for the gunsmith to give you 500 parts for ranking up with him. I have all these great weapons and none of them are upgraded, let alone infused.
-
This is so needed, I have almost no weapon parts..
-
-
The point of year 1 weapons staying in year 1 was so players would have to try out new weapons. Can't fully explore new weapons without fully upgrading, and can't fully upgrade them without weapon parts.
-
*files this quote right next to "I don't even have time to explain why I don't have time to explain"* This reasoning is a joke and Bungie knows it. Bungie is acting like Weapon Parts are some be all, end all item that could break the game if they allowed a vendor to start selling the parts. Even if they don't want a vendor to sell Weapon Parts then how about a perk called...oh I don't know..."Weapon Parts Extractor"? Same goes for Armor Materials.

The economy is in a current state where they want you to greatly value your inventory. They want you to have to think about what you're using it for, and whether or not it's worth it. If you're upgrading every gun you find you're going to start having less, but if you are only upgrading weapons you like and plan on keeping for the entire year 2 of destiny then you should be okay. Personally I've gone up in weapons parts by 500 since TTK came out. But I didn't upgrade anything until I got a great legendary scout that I still use.
-
Split between 3 characters and guns I want to use not necessarily good guns but fun to dick around with I am running rather low with all this infusing
-
I NEED WEAPON PARTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Two reasons why I don't feel bad for you clowns: -you wasted thousands in year one gambling on reforging. -you're wasting a ton now buying cheap faction rep.
-
Would definitely need more parts
-
I feel like their numbers included the people that have one toon at level 4 that never play. Yeah.. those guys NEVER use weapon parts!! There is absolutely no reason to hinder the upgrade/infusion process in my opinion, I can't think of any valid reason at all. Are they really that interested in making us choose between which weapons we want to upgrade at any given time? Make weapon parts rare like they are now, and force us to have guns that we can't upgrade sitting useless in our vault and inventory? I'm sorry, but that is fkn retarded Bungie.

Do strikes! So many parts it's ridiculous! I have about a 1000+ on each of my 3 chars. TOC too for exotics while on strikes + boss drops. It's win win win
