This is not a good enough reason to reduce the number of parts we get. It's like reducing worldwide food production because a few have too much food, while some are starving. Stupid.
further adjustments may be in order?
This is not a matter of if adjustments are in order, it is a matter of adjustments are needed. No one thought they had too many parts and wanted to have less.
Bump until Bungie clearly get the message.
Edit: We're trending, gw people. Keep up the bumping. Make your own post on the issue. Whatever we have to do to make sure that every time a Bungie employee checks the forums, the first thing they lay their eyes on is a "weapons parts issue" post.

Signed. This is a huge problem unless you never change your guns. But where's the fun in that?
-
It was a pointless adjustment that didn't need to be made. Some people have a lot and some have none, so let's punish everyone instead. I had loads but fell for the quick rep trap and now I'm having leave upgrades on some guns til I get more to dismantle.... If anything it should have been increased due to amount of new guns to upgrade or just take away the temptation of swapping for rep altogether.
-
At some point you'll get the weapon parts you require.... It'll cost you silver or gold purchased from your store but you'll get as many weapon parts as you like if you make the purchases Deej out
-
I have like ten left, I'm boned. :(
-
How am I supposed to upgrade my Raid gear and exotics with 3 weapon parts Bungie?
-
Anything to increase the grind, right bungie?
-
I use a lot, and I still have like 800. Come on guys.
-
Bungie employees have an iq the equivalent of a shovel. They'll do anything to keep their shit game alive
-
Bump. I normally hover around 20-30 weopon parts, without the patch
-
Thats not the only reason they gave. Stop taking stuff out of context.
-
People who are low on resources/materials do not know how to play this game correctly. Bunch of sissies
-
It is this simple...... IF YOU ARE LOW ON WEAPON PARTS YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING WRONG. You have squandered them somewhere and do not deserve a boost to help you out. I ran out of weapon parts during HOW. I reformed so many weapons that I also ran out of motes. I then got smart and started to stockpile them. I now have over 1500 weapon parts, over 4000 armor mats, almost 1000 motes and coins. Try and be smarter and stop asking for a handout to make the game easier for you when YOU caused the issue you are running into. Here is a solid piece of advice..... When you get blue weapons, use bounties to open the bubbles and then delete the weapon. You get a lot more parts that way. I did earth patrol for 1.5 hours yesterday and got almost 20 engrams. It isn't that hard.

Since what?, 5 guys have a lot that means everyone has wayyyy to many.

Bungie employees are clearly some of the worst decision makers who completely lack any sort of foresight. Their track record is horrendous.
-
Agree. I am sure a large reason to have so many darn weapons in the armory line up is so that we can actually try them (otherwise just drop weapon parts from fallen instead of actual weapons). How can we try them and create a diverse weapon usage if we can't unlock their abilities with other weapon parts? Nerfing weapon part sharding was a huge mistake and contrary to the weapon drop dynamic. Needs fixing immediately.
-
I've got 4 parts and need as many as I can get my hands on. I've got weapons to upgrade but no parts to do it. Why would you nerf the amount we get but keep the amount to upgrade the same? It would never work out mathematically, stupid bungie.

Edited by realb00mer: 10/22/2015 2:59:53 PMBungie improves one thing and then fücks 20 things more... well done... Thank you Bungie...
-
Bump.. My reserves have dropped from over 400 to less than 90 since taken king arrived
-
Too many weapon parts?? If so just use them to level up a faction.
-
Glimmer peasants. You can just buy weapons.
-
With the addition of infusing on top of normal weapon upgrading, i have barely any weapon parts and it is a grind just to hope to have a weapon part. I am really not sure what the logic was behind nerfing the amount of weapon parts. I feel the grind is worse than when the game first came out. I have to grind for every little thing now. Higher light level gear and guns, weapon parts, materials. I am not able to test guns out to its max level due to lack of weapon parts. And now that the light level will increase again tomorrow, I have to infuse and upgrade my choice guns. Not to mention the grind of hoping to get 310 items. Now 320. The grind/struggle is real (RNG everything sucks). Will never be max 320, dont have the time and I play alot, whereas at least in the past there was a chance to be maxed.

GIVE ME BACK MY WEAPON PARTS!!!!
-
I thought I had enough and was getting enough until I went to Infuse a weapon and didn't have any :( so they make it easier to get weapons just not as easy to upgrade
