This is not a good enough reason to reduce the number of parts we get. It's like reducing worldwide food production because a few have too much food, while some are starving. Stupid.
further adjustments may be in order?
This is not a matter of if adjustments are in order, it is a matter of adjustments are needed. No one thought they had too many parts and wanted to have less.
Bump until Bungie clearly get the message.
Edit: We're trending, gw people. Keep up the bumping. Make your own post on the issue. Whatever we have to do to make sure that every time a Bungie employee checks the forums, the first thing they lay their eyes on is a "weapons parts issue" post.

agreed If they were worried about the faction rep for weapon parts they should have reduced the rep payouts and increased the weapon parts drop(would have been a better solution.)
-
I'm dry of weapon parts tbh. I have like 20 spread across 3 characters.....
-
-
I find it ridiculous why did it need a nerf anyway?
-
I have all exotics. Yet no weapon parts. This is true stuggle.
-
The only thing I would say to this is that Bungie wants the items in our inventory to have a importance . Weapons parts don't have much importance when you have 1000s . However , I agree that nerfing the drop rate wasn't the correct solution , as many players , like myself , find ourselves starved of them . I feel that a far more intricate change to the games economy would need to happen in order to have a more balanced economy , which may take some time

Bump !
-
I lost all mine from doing the ToM quest, now I have 4
-
What in the world are you guys using all these weapon parts on? You can only hold 3 guns at a time, stop infusing guns you will never use!
-
Never have more than 10. It's really starting to irritate me.
-
Bump. That change was ridiculous.
-
Please bump weapon parts back up to where the were. I'll give you a hug DeeJ.
-
At the start of TTK I had around 1200 weapon parts now I am down to just over 100 and need to upgrade 4 weapons so really I have none. I know I used a couple hundred on rep when the drop rate was up but if I knew that would change I would have never done it. My biggest problem with Bungie is their habit of changing mechanics without a heads up. I understand that they do not want people exploiting things they are about to change but in this case and it others I was using the system in good faith and now I am in a bad position due to an unexpected change.
-
bump just because ive been riding being broke on WPs...
-
You kids need to learn that infusing something because you have something else 1 attack point higher is a pointless action and quit doing it. If you waited until there was a decent gap between two items to infuse them you'd still have plenty of weapon parts.
-
Bump #weaponpartsfamine2015
-
Why not just have 'equipment materials' which would be a material that could be gained from dismantling either armour or weapons and used to upgrade either.
-
Bump MF'n Bump
-
I just want to swap armor parts for weapon parts. Or add an auction house and let market determine the value of things via glimmer/marks.
-
Day 1 players like myself have tons of parts (over 1k on each character even after using hundred per for reputation gains), while all the newbies have 3. I could see how this would completely blow for newer players, or players who didn't realize they would need them and leveled their faction reputation into oblivion trying to get that rank 25 class item quest. Doh!
-
-
Day one player 3 toons completely strapped for parts .. Re rolling destroyed me and upgrading all these now toys requires endless parts with infusion using parts as well.... LET THE GUNSMITH SELL PARTS FOR MARKS OR SOME OTHER MATERIAL FOR TRADE

-
Hell yea I bump this shit I loved all my parts but I think they did it cuz now you can use parts for xp

Signed. This is a huge problem unless you never change your guns. But where's the fun in that?
