This is not a good enough reason to reduce the number of parts we get. It's like reducing worldwide food production because a few have too much food, while some are starving. Stupid.
further adjustments may be in order?
This is not a matter of if adjustments are in order, it is a matter of adjustments are needed. No one thought they had too many parts and wanted to have less.
Bump until Bungie clearly get the message.
Edit: We're trending, gw people. Keep up the bumping. Make your own post on the issue. Whatever we have to do to make sure that every time a Bungie employee checks the forums, the first thing they lay their eyes on is a "weapons parts issue" post.

bump!!! same problem here
-
Bump. This sort of grind-enhancing will be what eventually kills this game. Hell, I don't even want more than before, I just want them to reverse the nerf, as it was just fine the way it was.
-
It's very annoying. Forces us to grind even more for something so tedious.
-
It's very odd when you lack something to upgrade a gun. Before I would have to head to Mars and farm relic iron and that was annoying enough. Now farming weapon parts is even more rediculous. I feel like the decision makers are actually trying to push people from this game

Yeah, the reasoning was... a bit lacking, to put it nicely. When vague, non-answers are given, my mind automatically goes to the worst possible scenario (weapon part packs for silver? )
-
This has just made it useless to do bounties or level any weapons up. Needs to be addressed asap. I had to pull all of my parts just to finish touch. Think I have like 23 now
-
I had 600+ parts when TTK released, I now have 40 left. Atleast I can upgrade 1 more exotic.. Wish I could buy 1 part/ mark.
-
changes they make are always going to be so we keep playing,to strike a balance between happy players and continuous players...time to say F you to giving bungie our money...thats all they care about...money before happy gamers is the new policy
-
Who the -blam!- thought that it was a good idea
-
those who used banshees reroll. majority of pvp. those who did not majority was pve. because for pve you dont need the god roll to succeed.
-
True cost of infusion is 8 marks and 15 parts if legendary to legendary.

I was like why is everyone crying about weapon parts I've never ran out. Then yesterday I ran out. Karma.... Karma.....

Edited by Sofa: 10/22/2015 6:21:13 PMI have 1700 + Parts and 1600 + Armour shards lol I don't understand why the mats are so hard for people to get unless they literally just starting playing the game at TTK. I've been playing since beta and Day one and i've never been under 1000 of each. Perhaps people just wasted so much of them trying to re-roll those OP guns for Trials and Cruc. Must suck now that you know you wasted everyone of them on useless guns.
-
-
the weapon parts struggle is too real. i miss being able to buy the 7-win trials guns for 500 glimmer; that actually made getting weapon parts not so bad

The only winning move is not to play.
-
Bump.
-
did everyone just waste all their weapon parts upgrading their factions? I still have 1000's Not trying to brag or anything but just wondering
-
Well you can sell them at faction for reputation and since I did I am broke
