A lot of the Grimoire Cards are left over from the old story.
What do you suppose is Rasputin's reason for shooting him down? It couldn't be an error, since Rasputin forced right pass the part of his coding that was trying to stop him.
Seeing as how what the Traveler does (with races) it can be heavily implied that Rasputin shot him down for trying to run (what he did to the Fallen).

Rasputin used as much data as possible to come to his decision. Namely, the Traveler's history of abandonment and fleeing. If your gf cheated on her previous 5 boyfriends, what outcome would you predict for your relationship?
