If destiny goes down the route of less $/£20 DLC packs then we can expect more time gates to prolong content

It's not prolonging content, though. The second this "content" gets unlocked, it is completed immediately. At least with expansions we get NEW content that isn't 100% based off of something we already technically met the requirements to progress for multiple weeks ago...
