It doesn't matter how you feel because others still view you differently. When I play I don't feel like a girl gamer, just a gamer, but when I'm signaled out for being a girl that's what I am, not one of the others but being put apart from them because of my gender. I want to just be a gamer but I don't get to be treated like a gamer because of my gender. Some people will treat you just like any other gamer but as long as some people don't if you ever talk openly on a mic in a multyplayer or join a party with some randoms and maybe a couple of your friends you're likely to be the girl gamer to them and they aren't guaranteed to treat you the same.
