I rather them do this than to give everything out at one time and then there be nothing new to do.

How about you pace yourself when playing and don't no life it all in the first couple of weeks?

I think it's fine...but at least leave the quest line open instead of closing it 24 hours later

I understand and agree with you on that. Better yet, keep the guns and armor hidden but still available for discovery, instead of a quest.
