It's a pathetic way for bungie to keep us playing. The worst thing a company can do is control the way you earn your items. While I do agree with them being difficult to complete, time gating is the worst thing to do.

What do you suggest them to do then? Release all future exotics at once so you can complain that you have nothing to do?

Did I say that? Don't put words in my mouth. Ask any twitch streamer or Youtuber (datto and gothalion) both of them said the worst thing in TTK hands down is waiting for arms day or timed exotics in general for quest lines. And never have I complained about there not being enough content in the game. Been playing since the alpha came out.

they have....and added exotics we can obtain during the dry spell....go see what new exotics Borderlands 2 has released in the last 6 months....you probably wouldn't know since it hasn't been played in the last 9....

If bungie wants to release exotics at a certain time (which they will) that's fine but don't release them in way that players get f*cked over because they never did a story mission for a ghost I.E. Paradox and now they have to wait another week for it.
