I used 10 Three of Coin on Sunday, landed 2 exotics. 10 Three of coin also cost 14 strange coins, and an exotic armor costs 13 strange coins.
So you got the equivalent of an exotic, with the possibility of more.
So yeah, hat is a decent drop.

Providing you've got the time to grind..that's my problem with getting consumables as it just says go and grind some more with no guarantee of anything... Hard content should give you something hard...not consumable.

How is getting a consumable of any kind (that I can just as easily buy from a vendor) a "decent drop" for a once a week activity that is supposed to yield superior rewards to a normal strike? Strange coins shouldn't even be in the loot table, they drop all over the place.
