Ok - its because you have not finished the main quest lines yet. Complete all of the Taken war quests and get the quest from Eris to do the raid (not hunger pangs). once you have your 310 artifact no more greens.
I had the same issue with my warlock and hunter. My titan does not get greens. completede the quests with my hunter and now only my warlock gets greens. hope this helps

Sorry but that's wrong. I completed all quests in the game months ago. Haven't seen common gear since I hit level 40. Since reset on 12-1-15 common gear has been dropping like crazy!! I stayed around the Hull Breach on the Drednaught for about 35 minutes and I received 17 greens and 4 blues.
